Mumbai, 31 August: Pawandeep Rajan who is a member of Bollywood singer Shaan’s team, was declared the winner of the singing reality series, ‘The Voice India’, at the grand finale here.
It was a journey that started with 102 singers who came from all corners of the country has now come to an end. After three months of tough competition, hard work and viewer’s votes, Pawandeep Rajan, who hails from Uttarakhand, was crowned the winner as the finale of &TV’s The Voice India concluded with a bang!
An overjoyed Coach and singer Shaan, was moved and seen rejoicing with his singer Pawandeep amidst much fanfare and poise. In tune with the grandiosity of the show, the finale was a musical spectacle with the young generation of voices like Kanika Kapoor, Neeti Mohan, Akriti Kakar, Ash King, Siddharth Mahadevan set the stage on fire with some high powered performances.
Comedian Kapil Sharma also took to the stage with equal enthusiasm, adding every bit of humor along with his Kis Kisko Pyaar Karu co-star Elli Avram and director duo Abbas Mastan. Pawandeep, known for his versatility in various genres including Classical and Bollywood, performed consistently well throughout the season of the singing reality show.
He defeated Parampara Thakur, Sahil Solanki, Snigdhajit Bhowmik, Rishabh Chaturvedi, Vishva Shah, Deepesh Rahi and Sachet Tandon to take home a whooping Rs.50 lakh cash prize from &TV, a Maruti Alto K10 car and a deal to record his first single with music label Universal.
The &TV show is a version of the internationally-acclaimed singing reality show, ‘The Voice’.
