Jalandhar, 7th Sept: The phone recording between MPs Bhagwant Mann and Dr. Dharamvira Gandhi has gone viral on social media. In the audio the voice of Mann is heard wanting complete control of the party’s Punjab affairs with elected MPs.
He was also critical of other party leaders which included Sr. Advocate H.S. Phoolka, MP Harinder Singh Khalsa and state party convener Sucha Singh Chhotepur. He said people voted personalities and not for AAP election alone.
Dr. Gandhi has confirmed that the conversation did take place but denied recording it. Mann was not available for comments. The conversation took place on the eve of Arvind Kejriwal becoming CM of Delhi for the second time in February.
The Patiala MP has been suspended from the party along with Fatehgarh Sahib MP Harinder Singh Khalsa. Mann was the first major leader from Punjab who after suspension from party had demanded that both Dr. Gnadhi and Khalsa be expelled from the party. Earlier, he wanted Chhotepur removed from the post of the party but chanfed his stand later.
It was Mann who called Dr Gandhi and can be heard accusing senior advocate HS Phoolka and others from the very beginning of the conversation.
