Microsoft to acquire VoloMetrix

New Delhi, 4th Sept: On Thursday, Microsoft said it was buying a startup that specialises in analysing email, meeting schedules and other work data to increase people’s efficiency on the job.

Microsoft did not disclose financial details regarding its acquisition of Seattle-based VoloMetrix. The acquisition will combine VoloMetrix’ experience, technology and track record of success with Office 365 and Microsoft’s previously announced Delve Organizational Analytics.

As per sources Rajesh Jha Microsoft Outlook and Office 365 corporate vice president said that he is looking forward to this big step forward in our company ambition to reinvent productivity and business process, and how it will deliver new value to our customers with organizational analytics. VoloMetrix technology will be used in Office 365 and a Microsoft organisational analytics offering.

Microsoft will launch an early preview program for Delve Organizational Analytics within the next month, and general availability of the initial release of the integrated Office 365 service by end of this calendar year.
